SIEM Tuning for Small Teams: Cutting the Noise

The paradox of SIEM at scale is that the more data you feed it, the less useful it becomes — unless you're intentional about tuning.

At JOPAG Logistics, we reduced average threat resolution time by 60% over an 18-month period. The technical work was real, but honestly, half of it was suppression: identifying the alerts that were training the team to click "dismiss" and eliminating them before they could do more damage to response culture.

This post covers the specific tuning approaches that worked in a resource-constrained environment without a dedicated SOC analyst. Full write-up coming soon.
